Managing user roles

Last updated: April 18, 2026

Influ2 has three user roles—Admin, Manager, and Viewer—each with different permissions. Assigning the right role to each team member ensures they have the access they need without exposing sensitive information.

Understanding user roles

Inviting team members

Send an invitation

  1. Go to Settings > Users.

  2. Click Invite Users.

  3. Fill in:
    - First Name
    - Last Name
    - Email address

  4. Select their role: Admin, Manager, or Viewer.

  5. Click Invite.

The invite is sent. The recipient will receive an email with a link to activate their account.

Track pending invites

Go to Settings > Invites to see:
- Who you've invited
- Their email address
- Current status (pending, accepted, etc.)

From here, you can also cancel invites if needed.

Cancel an invitation

  1. Go to Settings > Invites.

  2. Find the pending invitation.

  3. Click Break link (or similar option).

The invitee will get an error if they try to accept the invitation.

Change a user's role

If someone's responsibilities change and they need a different access level:

  1. Go to Settings > Users.

  2. Find the user whose role you want to change.

  3. Click the edit (pencil) icon next to their name.

  4. Select their new role.

    Save the change.

Role changes take effect the next time the user logs in. They won't see permission changes until they refresh or log out and back in.
