How to read the Journey report within specific cohorts
Last updated: April 19, 2026
The Journey report shows exactly how your audience moves through the campaign stages you've set up. It tracks audience growth, shrinkage, and transitions — all color-coded so you can see what's working at a glance.
Access the Journey report
Go to Cohorts > [Your Cohort] > Journey tab. You'll see all audience changes over time, with red numbers showing audience decreases and green showing increases.
Why audience numbers change
Your cohort audience fluctuates based on four main factors:
Cohort criteria changes — Contacts are automatically removed if they no longer meet the criteria for the cohort
New or updated contacts — Contacts added or updated in your CRM to meet the criteria are automatically included
Stage transitions — Targets move between different journey stages based on engagement criteria
Step progressions — Targets progress through steps within stages
Keep in mind: There's typically a slight delay (up to 4 hours) before newly added contacts appear in your cohort, because data syncs from your CRM on an approximate 4-hour cycle.
Manually resync if needed
Users with the influ2_admin role can click the Resync Cohort button to force an immediate sync. The cohort status changes to "Syncing," and the resync can only be used once every 60 minutes after the previous sync completes. (The resync button is inactive for cohorts in "Archived" or "Syncing" status.)
Understanding the Journey report columns
"As of [date]" (Start)
Shows the number of people at each journey stage and step at the beginning of your selected timeframe.
"Cohort match"
Displays how many targets met the cohort criteria and how many became ineligible.
Positive values = new targets added to the cohort
Negative values = targets removed based on cohort criteria or deleted from your CRM
"Stage match"
Shows how targets moved across different stages based on criteria they met. You can scroll to see details on where targets ended up after meeting cohort criteria.
Positive values = targets transitioning to the current stage
Negative values = targets leaving the current stage for other stages
"Steps transitions"
Details how targets progressed through specific steps and which criteria caused each transition.
Example: You see -30 next to "Warm-up" and +30 next to "Advanced content." This means 30 prospects moved out of Warm-up and into Advanced content. Of those 30, 10 clicked at least once and 20 saw the ad 15+ times.
You can collapse/expand the list of conditions for each stage using the dropdown (expanded by default). If journey conditions changed during your selected period, all applicable conditions are shown.
"As of [date]" (End)
Shows how many contacts are at each stage or step at the end of your chosen period.
Use filters and date selection
The Journey report includes several filtering options:
Custom Range — Pick any start and end dates
Navigation Buttons — Move forward or backward by months
Standard Presets — Quick options for last 7 days, last 30 days, or last 90 days
You can also search by journey stages and steps (2+ characters required).
Click any number to see the audience behind it
When you click on any number in the Journey report, the system displays a detailed Audience list showing all targets that fall within that value. For each target, you'll see:
Name, title, and profile photo
Buying group and status
Impressions, Clicks, Visits (within your selected date range)
Last engagement date and last outreach date
Outreach touchpoints (within your selected date range)
Active period (from and to dates)
The list is sorted by most recent engagement first, then by total clicks, total impressions, and alphabetically. You can export this list to use in external analysis tools.
Take action on your cohort
